The green shift: Empowering community and nature-based potential

Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme

This programme aims to provide knowledge and skills, and to promote an understanding of how community participation, the social economy, and nature-based solutions can build sustainable and resilient communities that address environmental challenges. The programme combines theory, interdisciplinary thinking, and practical collaboration between participants from different countries and stakeholders.

Objectives of the mobility program:

  • Identify the main social and environmental challenges and development potential in local communities;

  • Build understanding of the role of the social economy in community engagement and its sustainable development;

  • Analyse nature-based solutions (urban agriculture);

  • Build understanding of financing models – how to create economically viable solutions in local communities that address environmental or social issues;

  • Develop skills in measuring social or environmental impact;

  • Develop design thinking skills to develop an idea/prototype that addresses a social or environmental issue in a specific community in one of the European Union countries.
